Costs
At the beginning of the Fall and Spring seasons, players are required to pay for season start-up costs. These fees help to pay for field rentals, insurance fees, coaches' uniforms, and more. The current fee is $50 per season. Players will also need to purchase two jerseys (a light and a dark) and shorts. Scholarship funds may be available if needed. Additional optional merchandise may be available.

For the Fall season, players are required to register for the High School Season through Triangle Ultimate. Registration is $65 per player, however, Triangle Ultimate offers a pay-what-you-can fee structure.

In addition to registration and season start-up costs, players are assessed a fee for each tournament. Tournament fees have ranged from $15 for a local one-day round robin, to $65-$100 for an out-of-town two-day tournament, to a couple hundred dollars depending on the length and location of the tournament. These fees go to pay for bid and player fees, field food (sub sandwiches/biscuits during the tournament), coaches' travel, and other fees associated with playing in a tournament.

Players and families are responsible for their own travel. The team will identify a hotel (within the $125-$150 or less per night price range depending on location). Players and families are not obligated to stay at the designated team hotel.

At the end of each season, we will take up a collection of funds to provide our VOLUNTEER coaches with a gift. Families are welcome to contribute what they can.

Fees are typically paid through PayPal, Venmo, or by check.

Player Requirements

Travel Policy
Jordan Ultimate (Dirty Birds) and Triangle Ultimate, a fiscal sponsor for Jordan Ultimate, are not responsible for arranging any component of players’ ground or air transportation travel as well as lodging. We strongly encourage all parents or guardians to travel and help with players’ transportation, lodging, and chaperoning. Players under 18 years of age are not permitted to drive themselves or other players to tournaments outside of the Triangle area. Parents and guardians who are not traveling with their player will be responsible for finding another traveling parent within the team to chaperone, coordinate lodging, and transport their child for the duration of the event and travel.

As many drivers are needed for the success of the program, the team managers may ask traveling parents to help transport additional players other than their child(ren) and will ensure all families are aware of the expectations for traveling parents. While Jordan Ultimate will ensure all players are accounted for in advance of the tournament, the logistics of the transportation and lodging, including reimbursement for drivers' and/or lodging reimbursements, will be arranged by the families themselves. All drivers are strongly encouraged to purchase additional liability insurance on their rental cars. If not purchased, it is understood that the driver’s personal insurance is primary. Jordan Ultimate and Triangle Ultimate are not liable for any transportation or lodging incidents during events or tournaments.

Communication
Our primary platform for communication for players, coaches, and families is via Discord. ALL timely information is communicated through our Discord channels. To commit to the Dirty Birds is to commit to Discord (subject to change based on current technology!). New players will receive information on joining our Discord server. Please share with parents and guardians.
